Kenya Archaeological sites are considered to be the most incredible in Africa. Kenya Historical and Archaeological sites have contributed significantly in our understanding of our human origins. The discovery of Turkana Boy also known as Nariokotome Boy (KNM-WT-15000) by Kamoya Kimeu as well as the recent discovery of the Oldest Stone Tools ever known as the Lomekwian has pushed human lineage as far as 3.3 Million years. Kenya is undoubtedly the Cradle of Mankind as illustrated below from data obtained from National Museum of Kenya:
The great city of Nairobi gets its name from the maasai word "Nyirobi" which means "the place of cold waters". Initially Nairobi was a flat swampy ground where the Maasai used to herd their cattle. The city owes its birth to the construction of the Kenya-Uganda Railway that took place between the years 1896-1901. Nairobi was found to be the ideal location for a supply depot, switching yard and camping site in 1899 before the railway labourers embarked on the Great Rift Valley. Since then , the city has earned a reputation as the Safari Capital of the world and boasts the only national park within city limits in the world!
"Great time with friends"......I have been wanting to visit Africa for a while and narrowed it to Kenya. After corresponding with several tour companies, Expedition Kenya Safari was my final choice. We felt special and at ease when Patrick the company owner handled all our e mail and phone communications. Although it was a challenge for us to find a safari package that met our budget, he was patient enough to work with us.
Kenya's year round great weather makes it the ideal spot for thrill seekers.
Enjoy this once in a life time hiking and climbing experience .
Beautiful white sandy beaches and turquoise sea awaits you.
Known as the "Safari Capital of the World" Kenya's capital city Nairobi offers plenty one of a kind attractions.
