Safari Overview:

The wide open plains of Masai Mara is one of Africa's prime game viewing destination with abundant wildlife and dramatic scenery. The ecosystem plays host to a variety of plains game that attracts predators like lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dogs and their intense interactions are a thrill to watch. Book your trip to experience the magic of Africa during this 6-day wildlife safari in Masai Mara. Our safaris itinerary are tailor-made to suit guest's interests and time frame.

Day 1: Basecamp Maasai Mara

Arrive in Nairobi where you will be met by our driver guide who will transfer you to Wilson Airport to catch a 45-minute flight to Masai Mara. Your Masai guide will meet you at the airstrip and transfer you to our camp in Masai Mara. Basecamp Masai Mara sits on a picturesque bend in the Talek River in one of the most game-rich areas of the Masai Mara Reserve.

Enjoy your first bush lunch and make plans to settle in for the rest of the afternoon. Your late afternoon will be spent exploring the reserve in 4×4 open land rovers as you marvel at the area's wildlife and views. Wind up your evening watching the sunset over Mara plains, with a Basecamp sundowner. At camp, dinner is served in the restaurant, and you will be treated to stories of the bush around the campfire.

Day 2: Eagle View

Your day starts with an early-morning game drive followed by a hearty breakfast. Today you might want to take a camp walk, visit the Basecamp Masai Brand culture one of our capacity-building projects that employ about 158 Masai women. While here you are welcome to explore the products the Maasai Mamas produce. Complete your camp walk by planting a tree in our tree plantation area, just like the Obama family.

In the afternoon head to your next destination in Mara Naboisho Conservancy, enjoy two nights at Eagle View. At Eagle View, we invite you to gaze towards the future of Sustainable Tourism from an eagle's-eye perspective. Named as one of the top twenty-five eco-lodges in the world by National Geographic Traveller's Magazine In 2013, Eagle View minimalist design perfectly complements the overwhelming surroundings, allowing your imagination to soar as you gaze across the vastness of the African savannah.

Day 3: Eagle View

Mara Naboisho is a community-owned nature conservancy bordering the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Undisturbed wildlife viewing is guaranteed in this private conservancy, and during your game drives, you will be treated to a variety of big cat sightings among other plains game. Game viewing safaris are ideal in this part of the park, and you will be given the option to drive, walk, or combine the two. End your day with a Basecamp sundowner, or two before embarking on a night game drive for a chance to spot the nocturnal wildlife.

Day 4: Leopard Hill

Spend your fourth day at leisure partaking in the conservancy's activities. Go on a walking safari with our Maasai guides if you wish, if not, then enjoy a game drive. Plan a visit to Koiyaki guiding school where young Maasais learn about conservation and wildlife guiding skills.

In the afternoon depart to Leopard Hill our newest camp in Mara Naboisho. The camp is built in a similar fashion as our other Kenyan Basecamps, on elevated wooden decks. What makes Leopard Hill accommodation truly special, is the adjustable motorized roof of the tents, which provides an unhindered view of the African night sky. Dinner will be served at your choice of venue and you can end your day storytelling by your private campfire place. Fall asleep to the sounds of Africa-a lion roaring or the cry of a lone hyena.

Day 5: Leopard Hill

Wake up at dawn to an array of optional safari activities including morning yoga, a horseback riding safari (at an extra cost, book during reservation), an early morning game drive or a walking safari in the non-motorized area of the Naboisho Conservancy. The rest of the day is at leisure. During your evening game drive, enjoy a beautiful sundowner with the sights and sounds of Africa all to yourselves.

Head back to camp to find dinner served at your choice of venue and you can listen to stories about the rich history of the camp and the conservancy, with some entertainment from the Maasai dancers. Unwind with a stargazing experience right inside your tent where you have an adjustable motorized roof that gently slides back for a perfect nightly scene.

Arrive at the airstrip in time to catch your flight to Nairobi for your international departure and the conclusion of your wonderful safari adventure!
